Barry Ferdinand is the former child star of the Kid Detective movies; a drug problem nipped his young career in the bud. Aimed at a comeback, he is slated to play the killer in a movie based on one of the Maven's own cases.

In preparation, the actor's new agent has invited the Mavens to the birthday party at Barry's remote bungalow. He's hoping a conversation with the real elderly detectives might inspire the ex-star.

The Hollywood shindig turns out to be more of a children's party. Worse, the host, dressed in a tiger onesie, is completely uninterested, morose even. The celebrity crowd seems bored as well. That is, until Barry turns up dead.

Finally, some excitement! Aren't those old people the Murder Mavens? Maybe we'll see them solve this crime in real time...

Bizarre locations and a crowd of suspects

The Mavens must brave Barry's bizarre bungalow, complete with underground bowling alley and tree house bedroom, and deal with a colorful crowd of suspects. 

Meet his agent, meet the sister who does his taxes, evade his overbearing housekeeper, and question four more possible killers. Who hunted down junkie Peter Pan in his weird personal Neverland—and why?
