Premise

Night has fallen and the ronin are still on their way to an inn. By the side of the road, they spot what they think is a statue. To their horror, the ronin find that it is a man, paralyzed by fear. Dead. In his stiff, outstreched hand lies a netsuke, beautifully carved into two flowers.

In this town for RONIN, you enter an inn to find the sisters who own it threatened by debt collectors. 'I would have payed you,' one claims. 'If only my sister hadn't stolen the netsuke I wanted to sell.' 'Lies!' screams the other. 'Our father sold it years ago!' After taking care of the debt collectors — for now — you get put on watch duty. A strange figure has been spotted around the inn.

Will you find out what scared that man to death? Why did he hold the netsuke that seems to be on everyone's mind? And can you save the inn from the debt collectors when they inevitably return?
